| The 2001 Spooktacular was a difficult year. After the events of 9-11 we didn't feel much like putting on a show for anybody, the mood was not much of a Halloween celebration, but more of despair and sorrow. After a lot of thought we concluded that our show must go on and that our 'haunted' house is not intended to offend anyone, but is meant to be great fun, to be in the company of old friends, and to enjoy life. And that is exactly what we did. It was beautiful warm night and the kids lit up the night sky with litesticks. It was small intimate crowd just shy of 250 souls who must of needed a little diversion from the real world. The smoke machine cranked out its billowing haze, the jack oÕlanterns flickered and the puking guy ROCKED. Another Spooktacular evening was had by all who attended. | |
